Places to Stay and Eat (click on images for pictures)

Places to Stay

We only recommend places to stay which we really believe in. No car required – you can walk everywhere.

Pension Vestergade 44

The most romantic place of all to stay – once a Captain’s house, it is beautifully furnished, impeccably run by Susanna, and is right in the heart of the old town of Ærøskøbing.

Loft Apartment

In the loft of the Merchants Court is this newly converted luxury apartment with two bedrooms, a bride’s-getting-ready room, and views out over the rooftops.

Andelen Guesthouse

Lovely accommodation, great location, superbly run by Adam, with a fantastic bridal suite as well. Also houses Denmark’s smallest cinema!

På Torvet Apartments

Stay in a cozy apartment in the middle of Ærøskøbing. It is located right opposite the Old Merchants Court.

Det Lille Hotel is reopening with new owners 1st December and should be great – more soon!

Places to Eat

Ærøskøbing has some really nice places to eat. These are genuine recommendations, the places we go and eat in ourselves. In the summer there is lots of choice but watch out in the winter, when there can be a problem finding somewhere open. Ideally, speak to Louise first and then book ahead throughout October – April.

Mumm Restaurant

Probably the number one choice for a reception or a romantic dinner for two. Atmospheric and charming dining room, and a lovely flowery terrace, and good food.

DGK Café

The coolest place in town for a drink, light lunch, or coffee and cake. In the same lovely old building as our office and the Wedding Room, and Rikke and her team work closely with DIW to provide cakes, wedding breakfasts and so on. Even has its own whisky distillery! Read more on Facebook

På Torvet Café

Possibly the best place in the world to sit with a beer on a sunny day, it is in the square right opposite the Old Merchants Court, and also has excellent accommodation.

The “Badehotel” has a good Italian restaurant with its own wood-fired pizza oven. The views out to sea are fantastic and the service is friendly. They also have accommodation.

Det Lille Hotel is reopening 1st December and the restaurant should be very good – more soon!
